If you are struggling to fix TiviMate EPG not updating on your streaming device, seeing "No Information" across all your favorite cable and sports channels can be immensely frustrating. The Electronic Program Guide (EPG) relies on periodic XMLTV data downloads from your IPTV provider. When network timeouts, corrupted cache files, or timezone offsets interfere with this sync, your TV guide goes blank. Here is how to restore complete schedule accuracy in five simple steps.
1. Manually Clear and Reload EPG Data
In nine out of ten cases, a failed guide update is caused by a corrupted temporary database file stored on your device. TiviMate makes it easy to wipe this cache and perform a fresh fetch from our servers.
To trigger a fresh sync, navigate to Settings > EPG > Clear EPG. Confirm the prompt to delete all locally stored guide data. Next, immediately click on Update EPG. TiviMate will connect to our primary XMLTV feed and re-populate the schedule database within 30 to 60 seconds.
2. Check and Adjust Time Zone Offset
Sometimes your EPG has downloaded completely, but channel schedules appear shifted by several hours because your local timezone does not align with the broadcast metadata. This issue is particularly common in the United States across Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific time zones.
To correct this, go to Settings > EPG > EPG sources. Select your active guide source and tap on Time offset. Adjust the offset in hourly increments until live shows match the actual current time on your clock. When using our Xtream Codes connection, our servers automatically deliver localized time tags for all major US media markets.
3. Increase EPG Update Frequency
By default, TiviMate may only attempt to update guide schedules once every 24 hours. If your streaming device enters deep sleep mode during the scheduled sync window, the update cycle gets skipped.
To prevent this, open Settings > EPG and enable Update on app start. Furthermore, set the automatic update interval to Every 6 hours. This ensures your TV guide continually captures live programming changes, game delays, and breaking news updates.
4. Assign EPG Channels Manually in Channel Options
Occasionally, an individual channel may show "No Information" while surrounding channels display accurate schedules. This happens when the provider’s internal tvg-id tag differs slightly from the XMLTV channel identifier.
To fix individual missing channels, long-press the Select button on the affected channel to open the side options menu. Select Assign EPG. Use the search bar to find the channel name (e.g., "ESPN HD" or "HBO East"), select it, and the schedule will link immediately.
5. Verify Server Status and Network Connectivity
Finally, if none of the above steps resolve the issue, verify that your internet connection is not blocking external XMLTV queries. Some US internet providers block specific port ranges used by older IPTV servers.
